You can remove/delete supplier catalogues that are no longer needed or are out-of-date.
When you remove a catalogue it will become unavailable for all new quotes and orders. Any existing quotes and orders are not affected by catalogue removal; they will still show all the same products and prices as when they were entered. You just cannot add any new products from that catalogue.
If using a shared EQ system, ensure all your users are logged out of EQ and close all windows within your copy of EQ before proceeding. There are 2 methods to select the catalogues to remove:
Remove Catalogues
This view allows you to remove entire brands from all suppliers.
- Click the Product Catalogues arrow > Remove Catalogues
- Place a X in the box next to each catalogue you want to remove
- Click Remove Catalogue
Wait while the system goes through the catalogue database and removes the selected brands. DO NOT interrupt the process even if it appears to complete slowly or shows "Not Responding".
When complete you will be returned to the main EQ screen.
Remove Supplier Catalogues
This view allows you to remove brands from specific suppliers while keeping them from other suppliers.
- Click the Product Catalogues arrow > Remove Supplier Catalogues
- Click + to expand a supplier and place a X in the box next to each catalogue you want to remove.
You will see the version number and date of the catalogue listed to help you identify old catalogues.
- Click Remove Supplier/Catalogue
Wait while the system goes through the catalogue database and removes the selected brands. DO NOT interrupt the process even if it appears to complete slowly or shows "Not Responding".
When complete you will be returned to the main EQ screen.
Select Redundant CataloguesThis button is located on the right of the screen in Remove Supplier Catalogues. This checks the list of installed catalogues against EQ’s master cloud database of catalogues and puts a check mark against any old catalogues that are no longer valid. Then you can continue to remove them from EQ.
