EQ will allow you to load multiple versions of the same price list, from a range of different suppliers. You need to select a default supplier so that the relevant prices will be viewed when you are searching for products within EQ. You can change the supplier of a product on a quote or when placing a purchase order.
Setting Default Suppliers
From the top menu bar click Product Catalogues arrow button > Default Suppliers
Default Suppliers opens as below:
Default Supplier
When there is more than 1 price list loaded for each manufacturer brand the Default Supplier column will be in white (not grey).
Click the supplier name in this column and a drop down box will appear for you to pick the supplier to set as default.
All catalogues which show with a grey column, only have 1 price list loaded and therefore there is only 1 supplier. You will need to install another price list before you can change the default supplier. Please note that you cannot set a default supplier using a supplier you have added yourself.
Own Name
You can enter a catalogue title of your own to replace the EQ title, and your name would be used on the printed documentation in preference to the EQ title. For example you could rename a long title like "Vitra Bathroom Collection" to "Vitra".
When you have input a name and pressed Update you will need to reload your catalogues for the new name to become effective. You need to go to System Config arrow button> Database Integrity and tick the box to Reload Catalogues. This can only be done, when no other users of EQ are logged in.
