Before You Begin
Administrator Access Required
You must be logged in to EQ as an Administrator. To check this:
- Go to System Config and then Users
- Only one user will have a tick in the Administrator column
Multi User Systems
From Version 16 onward, you no longer need exclusive access to load catalogues. This means that networked users can continue working while catalogues are loaded on one machine.
Loading Catalogues via Email
If catalogues are received manually via email, they are typically provided as a zipped folder.
- Extract the zip file using your preferred method. You can either:
- Extract the contents directly to the root of a mapped drive (e.g. C:\)
- Or copy the extracted folder to the root afterwards
Note: The extracted folder must be named: easyquote v3 catalogues. - Extract the contents directly to the root of a mapped drive (e.g. C:\)
- In EQ, select the downwards arrow underneath Product Catalogues and select Catalogues from Disk.
- Tick the boxes next to the catalogues you wish to update.
- Click the Load Catalogues button.
This process may take several minutes depending on the number of catalogues being imported.
Note: Do not reboot your PC during this process, as it may corrupt your data. |
Post-Import Steps
After successfully loading new catalogues, remember to:
- Assign your Discounts and Margins to each supplier and catalogue.
- If you’ve just updated existing catalogues, your previous margins will still apply.
