This article describes how to check prices of any product that is loaded into your EQ system using the Pricing Information screen. You can access Pricing Information from 2 places:
Search for a product to check Pricing Information
View Pricing Information for a product that is on a quote/order
Search for a product to check Pricing Information
- Open the Product Catalogues button on the top toolbar:
- Click the Search button on the left:
- Use the product locator to search for a product, either by manufacturer, code or advanced search. More help on using product locator is here.
- Once you have located a product click the Pricing Information icon at the bottom right:
- The Pricing Information window opens. It shows your catalogue and default supplier information and has a heading for Standard Pricing Details (shown in the red box here):
- Check the 3 prices shown:
Base Price is the price that is provided in the catalogue you installed. It will show Retail or Trade depending on the type of price EQ has been provided.
Cost Price is the base price with your discount deducted.
Your discount is setup in the Supplier List screen. For further help setting discounts and margins read this article.
Selling Price is the cost price plus your margin/markup.
Your margin/markup is setup in the Supplier List screen. For further help setting discounts and margins read this article. - Click OK to close the pricing information window.
Your EQ administrator user will receive messages to inform them that catalogues have been downloaded and they need to be installed. For help loading catalogues see this article.
View Pricing Information for a product that is on a quote/order
- Open your quote/order and ensure you are in Edit mode
(If the button at the bottom left shows Edit, click it, otherwise if you see Add, you are in Edit mode). - Locate the product you want to check and right-click it's product code and select Product/Pricing Information:
- The Product Information opens showing any picture and specification. Click the Pricing Information icon at the bottom right:
- The Pricing Information window opens. It shows your catalogue and default supplier information and has a heading for Standard Pricing Details (shown in the red box here):
- Check the 3 prices shown:
