In EQ, you can manage Individual Product Prices easily by exporting and importing data using Excel spreadsheets. This allows quicker bulk updates and better control over your pricing.
Export to Excel
To export pricing data into an Excel spreadsheet:
- Click Export to Excel:
- Save the file locally to your computer.
Note: Do not change the structure of the spreadsheet (column order and headings). If you use Excel formulas, you must paste the values before importing. |
Import from Excel (Standard Format)
Use this method if you exported the file from EQ and have not changed the column structure:
- Click Import from Excel:
- Select Standard EQ Format.
- Locate your saved spreadsheet file and click Import.
- Click Update once the import is complete.
Note: Ensure your spreadsheet is saved in Microsoft Excel 5.0/95 format before importing. |
Import from Excel (Other Formats)
Use this method if you are importing supplier price lists or spreadsheets with a different layout:
- Click Import from Excel:
- Select Other Formats.
- Browse to your spreadsheet file.
- Link the spreadsheet columns to the corresponding fields in EQ:
- Use the arrow buttons to step through a preview of the records and verify mapping accuracy.
- Click Preview and then Import when ready.
Note: Always resave your file into Microsoft Excel 5.0/95 format to avoid compatibility issues. |
Using Templates for Import
If you frequently import spreadsheets with the same structure, you can save time by creating an import template:
- During the import setup, after linking your fields, type a name in the Saved Templates box.
- Click Save Template.
- Next time you import a similar spreadsheet, load the template to automatically map the fields.
