When an item is added to EQ Stock Control you can print a default barcode, which identifies the product using an EQ internal stock code. This article shows you how to print labels for 1 or every stock product, including a barcode with that unique reference number. This can be used when creating a quote/order to add products very quickly by scanning the product barcode. You would need a 1D barcode scanner device (USB/Bluetooth) and to keep a printed list of the barcodes near your point of sale/sales terminal.
Requirements:
The products you are creating stock labels for must already be in EQ's stock. See Stock How to add a new product to stock
Open Stock Control from the main toolbar.
Locate the product you wish to assign a barcode to.
Click the button on the left: Assign Barcode.
Use your barcode scanner to scan the barcode, or enter the number manually via keyboard.
(If a number already appears in the box, then the EAN barcode was provided in the EQ catalogue data).
Click OK to save the barcode.
