When an item is added to EQ Stock Control you can print a default barcode, which identifies the product using an EQ internal stock code. This can be used when creating a quote/order to add products very quickly by scanning the product barcode. You would need a 1D barcode scanner device (USB/Bluetooth) and to keep a printed list of the barcodes near your point of sale/sales terminal.
An alternative to using the stock barcode, is to assign a barcode to a stocked product. This could be to speed up scanning, instead of having to print standard EQ stock labels. For example assign a product's EAN barcode number and then you wouldn't need an EQ barcode label to be generated.
(Note that some catalogues will already include the EAN barcode data so you don't need to assign).
To Assign a barcode (for example an EAN barcode):

Click on the Stock Control button on the main toolbar.

Click on a stock record.

Click the Assign Barcode button.

Scan the standard barcode.
Click OK to save and close the window.
This barcode is now saved against the stock record. You can change the barcode that is saved by repeating the steps above and re-scanning the new barcode.
Your stocked items can now be added to a quotation very quickly with just the barcode scanner.
