To generate quotes/orders very quickly you can scan a barcode straight into the quote screen. The product is added without any manual intervention.
The product barcodes you can scan are either:
- An EQ generated stock label with barcode showing the stock reference number. (Stock Control is in EQ Professional only).
- A manufacturer's EAN barcode which must be entered into EQ against the product data. (Some catalogues will already have EAN added, others will require you to add them).
Requirements:
- You need a 1D barcode scanner (any device such as USB or Bluetooth which functions as an input device to your computer).
How to add a product by scanning a barcode
- Begin a new quote/order.
- Click the arrow next to Add and select Add from Barcode:
- Use your barcode scanner to scan a barcode.
The product details will appear on screen and a quantity of 1 will be recorded. For each time you scan the same barcode the quantity will increase.
- Continue scanning all products you have barcodes for (see Requirements above).
- Once you have finished scanning, click Add to Quote/Order:
All of your products will be added to the quote, which you can continue editing as usual.
