How to change a customer on a quote/order

When a quote or order has been saved it is linked to a customer record.

You can move a quote/order to another customer by changing the customer name on your quote/order.

Before you follow these steps ensure you already have added a customer under the Customer List screen.

To change the customer on a quote/order

1. Open your quote/order.
    
2. Click Edit so you are in editing mode.
    
3. Click into the customer name box and use the backspace or Delete key on your keyboard to remove the customer name
    
4. Begin typing 3 or 4 characters of the customer name for the customer you want to change to.
   The list of customer names will narrow down as you keep typing.
    

5.  Double-click on a name to select it.
   
   
   
   If the newly selected customer has default customer sales discounts you will be prompted about them replacing any existing sales discounts on this quote/order.

   Check your selling prices and discounts.
    

6. The quote/order is now saved against this newly selected customer.
