For ease of editing you can export your own products to an Excel spreadsheet to make changes and add new products and then import back into EQ. It can be quicker than adding your own products manually.
For this import the spreadsheet must be kept in the EQ pre-set format with the same columns in the same order but there is no limit to the number of rows you can add.

Export to create an Excel file
List begins
Click the My Catalogue button to show any current products you have added:

If you intend on making changes to the whole of My Catalogue, click the Export to Excel button.
If you only need to export and edit part of My Catalogue, use the Filter List button and apply a filter first, then only the products in the filter will be exported.

Type a name for your file;
You will be able to select any location on your computer or network to save the file.

Click Export to save.
Providing Excel is installed on your PC then the spreadsheet will open up immediately.

If you intend on making changes to the whole of My Catalogue, click the Export to Excel button.

You will need to save the file and move it to a Downloads folder so your browser will download the file for you, onto your computer.
Click the Libraries button to the left and double-click into Documents:
Type the name of your file and click Export to save.
EQ tells you the file was successfully exported.

Click this folder icon at the bottom right of the EQ Flex screen:
From the file window that opens, click Documents on the left side: - Locate your exported file and right-click and pick Copy.
- On the left hand side click Remote Desktop Virtual Drive on RDWebClient to open a folder view:
- Double-click the Downloads folder.

Right-click in some blank white space and select Paste.
Pasting will automatically trigger your web browser to offer to download the file to your own computer.

You can use Excel on your own computer to work with this file.
Import an Excel file

It is recommended to "Save as" your file within Excel and set the file type as "Microsoft Excel 5.0/95 Workbook" (xls). This will leave out any incompatible features within the spreadsheet for better compatibility. |
Make sure your Excel file is saved and closed (select format Microsoft Excel 5.0/95 Workbook when saving).
Click the My Catalogue button to open the screen:
Click the Import from Excel button and select Import Standard EQ Format.
Browse your computer and locate your saved Excel file.

Click Import to add all of the products to My Catalogue.
Wait while the file is imported.You will be prompted about any duplicate products and any products that are no longer in the spreadsheet, and you will be notified when the import is complete.
Make sure your Excel file is saved and closed (select format Microsoft Excel 5.0/95 Workbook when saving).
Click the My Catalogue button to open the screen:
On your web browser click the Upload icon at the top of EQ Flex:
Locate your spreadsheet file on your computer and then click Open.
This file will be uploaded into EQ Flex's Uploads folder.
On the left of My Catalogue click Import from Excel > Import Standard EQ Format:

Next to Look in: select Remote Desktop Virtual Drive on RDWebClient and go to the Uploads folder:
You will see your Excel file, select it and click Import.Wait while the file is imported.
You will be prompted about any duplicate products and any products that are no longer in the spreadsheet, and you will be notified when the import is complete.
| Note about Stocked Products |
| If you have linked stock products to My Catalogue products, if you import by spreadsheet and have changed the product code the link between the product and stock record will be broken. Instead do not import, but change the product and stock record manually. |
