From 16th September 2024 Microsoft will prevent any apps, like EQ, that use your email address and password to send email (SMTP authentication).
To keep your account secure Microsoft will require you to use modern authentication methods.
What do I need to do?
The latest versions of EQ are compatible with the modern authentication methods (OAuth 2.0). You need to upgrade to the latest versions of EQ to continue send e-mail using your Microsoft email accounts. |

Business users using Exchange Online
Customers who use Microsoft e-mail with business accounts using Exchange Online are not immediately affected by this 16th September 2024 date.
However Microsoft is working to end support for old SMTP authentication completely by September 2025 for Exchange Online too. Therefore it is recommended for you to upgrade when you can, so you will be prepared for upcoming changes.
