Setup discount options
As an EQ user you should take these 2 steps you should take to ensure you benefit from these combination discounts.
- Check your current up-to-date Blanco catalogue in EQ.
Check the Supplier List screen:
Click Blanco UK Limited and see the version number and issue date.
New versions of catalogues are downloaded automatically and need to be imported by you.
Ensure you have the correct supplier discount in the Retail Disc % column and your margin in Supplier Margin %.
- Enable and configure your offers:
Go to System Config > scroll down to Optional Modules and click Promotional Offers.
Tick the option to Enable Promotional Offers
Tick the option Automatically Apply Promotional Offers (optional but recommended).
Select whether to apply the extra savings to your cost or selling price too (optional).
Click Update to save and close the settings.
Your settings will look like this:
How discounts show on quotes and orders (automatically)
When you add the relevant sink, tap or waste management combination of products to a quote or order, EQ will automatically enter an additional sub-item line to apply the available discount.
- This product code will begin BLANCO and show a colour in the code and description (shown below with the example BLANCOORANGE)
- The discount value will be applied to your quote.
- You do not need to do anything else, just save and process your order and purchase orders to take advantage of the discount.
The discount calculation will apply to the sales price on your quote only if your System Config option is set to Cost and Sell Prices.
Otherwise the discount will apply to your cost price, but is not passed on to your end customer's selling price (therefore there would be no selling price discount). See point 2 under Setup above.
How to click Offers to apply the discount manually
If you have not followed the above setup steps and have not selected to automatically apply the discount, you can optionally click the Offers button on the bottom of your quote:
This screen will display any available offers to you:
Tick either of the Apply tick boxes and click Update and the discount code will be added to your quote.
Hide a discount on a quote/order
The calculated discount will show on your quote/order as a sub-item and will print on your paperwork too. If you want to hide that discount line from the printed quotation and acknowledgement you can right-click the product code and select Hide Item on Quotation:
Discount on purchase orders
If your quote/order displays a Blanco discount code (see How discounts show on quotes, above), then a discount will automatically be applied to your purchase order.
Here is an example purchase order showing the extra discount code that will be sent to Blanco for processing:
