EQ Flex is the latest version of EQ (version 18 and above) that is available through a web browser. That gives you flexible access from any computer or many tablets.
This article describes the difference in how you will login to EQ Flex.
Moving from a hosted EQ server to EQ Flex
This applies to you if you used to access EQ via a Remote Desktop icon like this:
Your EQ data was also saved onto a server hosted by EQ.
Instead of using the remote desktop icon, you now open a web browser such as edge, Chrome or Firefox on Windows, or Safari on a Mac.
- Open your web browser
- Go to the web address https://eqflex.eqsoftware.co.uk
- Enter the username and password that has been provided to you.
- Click the EQ Flex icon to launch EQ Flex.
If you login on 1 device, and leave some EQ work open, then login again on another device with the same username, the first EQ Flex will be disconnected and all your open work will appear immediately on the second device you logged into. This means you can swiftly move between devices.
If you do login with the old remote desktop icon, any work you currently had open in EQ will not be immediately. Instead you will see a fresh copy of EQ Flex and will need to re-open your tabs in EQ.
Moving from a local EQ to EQ Flex
This applies to you if you used to access EQ via a shortcut with an EQ icon on your computer:
Your EQ data was stored on your own computer or company network.
