It is possible to create a plan in 2020 Fusion and import the product list into an EQ quote to save the need to manually re-enter products.
In 2020 Fusion
1. Have your completed plan saved and open.
2. Click View (on the top menu) and then select Report. This gives you a blank page.
3. Click View, select Item List
4. You will have a field chooser pop up on your screen. Select the ones in the below image.
5. You may need to drag the fields into the order required to match this:
Item Name | ||
Handing | ||
Description | ||
Order Size | ||
Price ex VAT | ||
Pos Number | ||
As Added | ||
Annotation Index | ||
Quantity | ||
Order Code |
6. Click File, select Export
7. Save the file Item List or rename it to the customer’s name for easier identification.
Note: This needs to be saved in a location where you can access it in EQ, e.g. in a shared folder if
you need to get to it on a different PC
In EQ:
8. Click Customer list (and either go to an existing customer, or Add a new customer).
9. Click New Quote
10. Select the furniture manufacturer and range details, and click OK to start a blank quote.
11. Click Current Quotation from the menu bar and click CAD > Import from CAD System
12. Pick your CAD system from the list:
Planit (Catalogue) – If you have used a manufacturer’s catalogue and codes in Fusion.
OR
Planit (Universal) – If you have used a generic catalogue.
13. Click Import and browse to the location where you saved the item list in step 7. If you
cannot see the file, change the Files of Type box to *.TXT.
14. Click on the file and chose OK.
15. The Match Products screen, shown below, lists the products from the CAD system.
16. In the left hand window pane, you will see the products imported from your CAD system and when you click on a product, on the right hand side are the EQ equivalents.
a. Products that appear in red do not currently match up with the EQ catalogues. Click on a red product and then click Search from the toolbar. You will then be able to use the Product Details screen to select an appropriate alternative.
b. When you select the product, you will be asked if you would like to link this product in the future. Press Yes and the selection will be remembered next time you import from your CAD system
17. When you have finished click the Import Products button at the bottom of the window.
18. All the products will be added to your quotation. You can continue to work with your quotation screen as normal.
Note: Whilst importing you may encounter some prompt boxes, such as a door selector or a screen to choose an appliance cover. Choose the relevant options to continue to reach the quotation screen.
