Before you begin using EQ you need to customise it and change settings to fit your business.
You can enter your company details and change the configuration of the system to suit your exact requirements, e.g print layout, on-screen options, colour coding etc. All the master settings are accessed by clicking the System Config button on the main toolbar:
(If this option appears to be disabled your security settings prevent you from accessing this. You would need to use an account with more privileges and should speak with your EQ administrator to continue).
Within System Config the options are split into categories down the left hand side:
Click a category to display the options you can edit.
When you have finished, always exit this screen by clicking Update
Exiting by using the X will not save your changes.
There are 3 buttons on the right side:
Config.INI button
Use this button only if directed by EQ support. It contains advanced settings.
Execute Script
Use this button only if directed by EQ support. It allows you to run advanced functions.
Remove Unused Catalogues
Should only be used by an administrator.
This will clear out the folder …\data\catalogues\downloaded as well as removing unused datasets (sub-folders) for catalogues that are no longer installed in your EQ database.
Tabbed View
EQ includes a tabbed view which is enabled by default. You can disable it, to use separate windows, by opening System Config and un-tick Tabbed View in the bottom right hand corner.
