EQ Professional has the ability to use preset phases when building quotes. Each product is selected for a phase and then once accepted, the order contents can be filtered by phase to make it convenient to pull off just the appropriate products for purchase ordering. These phases could be used to match the fix stages when selling contracts to building developers, or it could be used to help split a large order for multiple rooms.
This article covers:

- From the EQ toolbar click System Config
- Click Quotation Layout on the left.
The phase/fix options are shown on the right: - Tick the box Show Phase/Fix which enables a new column on your quote/order screen.
- Enter a name for that column heading in the Alternative Caption box.

- For the final setting, click Configuration on the left side and you will see Quotation Filters at the top right:
- Tick the Phase box to show that filter (and optionally pick any other filters).
- Click Update on the System Config window to save all settings and close.
Filtering quote/order contents
With phases enabled (in the above steps) there is a column in the quote/order window. The column heading shown will depend on your chosen caption (Phases in the image below):
As you add products to the quote/order, if you set default phases against product groups, every product will show a phase.
If you did not assign phases to product groups, or you want to change the phase, just click the down arrow and select a different phase. You can assign any products to any phases, and it only affects this current quote/order.
Apply filter to view products
On the bottom quote toolbar you can select a phase from the drop down box and click the tick button to apply it:
You can use filters to narrow down large quote/order contents to make it easier to see. You can apply this filter both in Edit mode, or when the quote/order is saved.
Apply filter to copy products
You can also use a filter to quickly copy a number of products.
- Make sure you are in Edit mode of the quote/order.
- Apply the filter as above, so the view changes to show only the relevant products.
- Click the Copy icon at the end of the filters:
- Respond Yes to the question Duplicate products?
