Once a quote or order has been saved you can export the order details (including associated customer, communication and product line details) to a CSV file. A CSV (comma separated values) file can be read in a spreadsheet application (like Microsoft Excel) and is a common format used for importing in to other software packages.
These instructions show how to export 1 or more selected quote or sales order to a CSV file. EQ allows you to pick the fields you wish to include in the CSV file.

Follow these steps to export an individual quote or order.
- Open Projects Quotations or Project Sales Orders from the main toolbar:
- Locate your quote or order, right-click the order reference and select More... > Export Quotation/Order [CSV]
- The Export to CSV window opens.
You can now select how your CSV file will be formatted and which fields it will include. (You may need to do this to match criteria for importing into another software package). Assuming this is your first export there will be no fields selected.
Before you begin ticking fields, check these options at the top:
Include Header
Tick this to include a header row on row 1 of your CSV (which some software packages will require to read the file). When you select fields below you can enter a header name for every field, or you can leave it blank and it will export EQ's field name.
Open file after export
Tick to open the CSV file in your default program. Microsoft Excel or Notepad is recommended for quick viewing of the file.
Sequence
If your export file contains product line items on an order you can select to export them in sequence according to the quote's item number or group the products together based on Quotation Group (e.g. furniture, appliances, lighting etc). - Select which fields you wish to export in the CSV file by ticking the column on the left. Your selections will be automatically saved next time you return to this Export CSV screen.
- Continue down the list ticking the fields you need. You can optionally set these columns:
Header
If you selected the Include header option, you can enter the text you want to use for the column heading. Otherwise leaving it blank will export EQ's field name.
Fixed Value columnThe software you are importing orders into may require a fixed field on every row. Enter the text here for each row.
Seq columnEnter a number to set a sequence for the exported fields.
- Under Export To you can click the options (...) button to browse to a location on your computer to save the file.
- Click Export and your CSV file will be created.
If you ticked Open file after export the file will open in your default program.
How to export orders in bulk

- Open your Projects Sales Orders screen from the main toolbar:
- Apply a filter using Filter List (see this article on setting up filters)
- On the top menubar select Orders > Export Orders List [CSV]
- The Export to CSV window opens.

Complete Milestone
Select a milestone that will be completed after you have exported. You can use this with the filter, so in future can filter out "outstanding milestones" and therefore not accidentally export the same orders more than once. Read more about milestones here.
Sequence

The fields are arranged into sections: Customer, Contact History, Item (refers to the products on an order), Me (refers to the currently logged in user), Opportunity, Order (headings), Price Change and Showroom.

The screen will close and EQ will return to your filtered list of sales orders.
Export templates
If you will frequently export the same format of CSV file you can save all of your options and field selections for quick selection in the future.
Save template
- Setup your options fields according to the steps above.
- Type a name in the Export template box.
- Click Save Template.
Your selections can now be reloaded quickly in future.
Load template
- Filter your Projects Sales Orders screen
- Click Orders > Export Orders List [CSV]
- In the Export window select the name of your saved template from here:
- Click Load Template.
Your settings and fields will be loaded. - You can now continue to export your CSV file.
