Milestones are stages of an order that visually show you which stages of the order are complete. They are displayed on the Projects > Sales Orders screen in the blue shaded columns. They can be used effectively to filter your orders list (for example to see how many orders in the last month have not been fully invoiced).
This article covers:
Overview
When a milestone is completed an X will be shown (and the colour of the cell can change)
E.g. when all purchase orders have been sent an X will be placed under the Orders column.
When a milestone is partially completed a / will be shown (and the colour of the cell can change)
E.g. when a partial delivery note is raised a / appears. Only when all products are delivered does a X appear to complete the milestone.
Automatic milestones are set automatically when that relevant process has been completed in EQ. For example, when a deposit payment has been received, the Deposit milestone will show X automatically.
Manual milestones need to be set by a user. Double-click the cell for the milestone on the relevant order and a X will appear. You have completed this milestone.
You can view the date that the milestone was set by right-clicking the cell for the milestone. A new window will display all the milestones for the selected order and show dates for those completed (and an empty box for those incomplete.
The milestones are shown here in the red box on the Projects > Sales orders screen:
