When you run an EQ backup or a database integrity check, EQ requires all other users to be logged out with EQ closed. EQ can only be running on the one computer you are performing the backup or data integrity check on. You can reset users to clear the system message.
This message:
[x] users logged in, cannot continue
means either users really are still logged in, or they simply closed EQ but left other windows within it open. This is not a "clean" exit, so EQ is still showing some open windows.
Resetting users cannot reset a user if they still have EQ open. It will only reset users who did not cleanly close down EQ (for example if they left EQ windows open). |
If you are completely sure that the other copies of EQ are closed down, it is possible to reset users to clear the message.
Your EQ administrator user should follow these steps:
- Go to the System Config arrow and select Users:
- You will see a list of all EQ users.
Any users still "stuck" will have a tick in the Logged In column.
Click the button Reset All Users on the right:
-
Click OK to dismiss the message and click Update to save and close the window.
Your EQ administrator can now re-try to run the backup or data integrity check.
If this proceeds successfully, your reset has worked.
If your backup or integrity check still cannot proceed, you should check all computers to ensure EQ really is closed down.
