These instructions explain how to install an EQ update using a download link in the most popular web browsers. The download link will have been provided to you by the support team.
| This article applies to EQ when it is installed on your own computers and/or servers. It does not apply to EQ Flex which is upgraded by our support team. |
Click the instructions for the browser you are using or go straight to run the upgrade below.
Run the Upgrade
Follow these steps once you have downloaded your upgrade file in your browser.
| Ensure EQ is closed down on all PCs and that you are logged on to the PC with administrative privileges. (Consult your IT help for this). |
- Locate the downloaded file from earlier (likely in your Downloads folder). It will be named EQUPGRADE11_xx_xx_xx.exe (where xx is the date of the upgrade)

Double-click the file to run it.
You may need to click More info, then Run anyway to proceed past the security message:
- Click Next to begin the installation and follow the on screen instructions.
- During loading of the progress bar click Yes to All to replace existing files:
- Click Finish when prompted.
Open EQ to complete

Open EQ on this PC and wait for the backup and upgrade progress bars to finish:
Wait for both the backup and the upgrade.
Do NOT interrupt EQ even if it displays Not Responding, it will complete.
- Click OK to complete the installation.
- You will be returned to the EQ password screen to login as normal.
If you are running with EQ shared data on a network, your other EQ users can open EQ and they will be prompted with an automatic upgrade icon. (Other users can login simultaneously and do not need to wait for each other to finish).
