How to open your Power BI dashboards

Version 25 of EQ Flex introduced Power BI dashboards which can replace the main Dashboard button on your EQ Flex toolbar.

Before you use these instructions you should read How to setup your first Power BI dashboard.

 

How to open the default Power BI dashboard

So long as the setup has been completed, you can open the default Power BI dashboard quickly:

  1. Click the Dashboard main button:

  2. Power BI opens with your default dashboard view.
     
  3. Click the Refresh button on the Power BI toolbar to load the latest data.

 

How to select which Power BI dashboard to open

If an EQ user wants to specify which dashboard to open:

  1. Click the arrow under the Dashboard main button:

  2. Select Power Bi Dashboards... and then click the name of the dashboard you want to open.
    (The screenshot above shows the 5 default templates provided with EQ Flex).
     
  3. Power BI opens with your dashboard loaded.
     
  4. Click the Refresh button to load the latest data.

 

If you do not see the name of a dashboard you expect, you may need to set the Valid Users option on your dashboard. This is an important security restriction which can help you restrict which reporting content can be viewed by which users.
